Call for Proposals
The Body Festival of Dance and Physical Theatre
September 25th to October 12th 2008

Dear Colleague

After six years of steadily growing and establishing itself on the festival circuit, The Body Festival turns, once again, to programming for its 2008 festival.
Following the success of our festival commissions in 2007 with new works presented by Daniel Belton, Louise Potiki Bryant and Scrambled Legs, amongst others, we wish to continue this and seek proposals for works that will be presented wholely by the festival for 2008.

In addition to this we also seek our usual range of performances,workshops, films and other events with dance and physical theatre as a primary focus and invite you to submit your proposals to us.
As with previous years we are able to supply venue, tech and generic marketing and publicity costs and will work with artists to secure things like fees, travel and accommodation.
With Creative New Zealand deadlines at the end of February we would like to receive proposals within the next two weeks and to this end seek submissions to be with us by Monday January 28th to allow us time to work the artists we wish to program for 2008 and create applications to the relevant funding bodies.
To be considered for the programme please submit proposals with support material (DVD, photos, press releases, tech specs. Requirements, fee etc) to me, at the address below, by the closing date
